Compassionate therapy tailored to individuals and groups
About me
I am an integrative therapist and accredited member of the BACP with seven years’ experience working as a therapist and a group facilitator in NHS hospitals, charities, community hubs, private practice, and at The School of Life.
I have lived experience in the creative industries and specialise in supporting people who work across the arts, culture and creative industries.
I have a BA and MA from the University of Cambridge, a Foundation Diploma from The New School of Counselling and Psychotherapy and a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychotherapy and Counselling from Regent’s University.
My approach
I provide a compassionate and confidential space within which to explore issues and expand awareness. In place of judgement, I offer a supportive environment in which to challenge pre-existing, debilitating thought-patterns and enable new choices and changes to be made. Together, we will examine what obstacles may be standing in the way of you fulfilling your potential and explore ways of finding a more fulfilling and authentic way of life.
I work both online and in-person from my consulting room in West Hampstead.
Writing for Wellbeing
I facilitate regular Writing for Wellbeing workshops.
These groups are about rediscovering our creativity and finding a calm, supportive space to connect more deeply with ourselves and others. We draw inspiration from poetry and there are guided writing invitations that focus on writing freely, with a spirit of discovery and curiosity rather than judgement.
As Robert Henri puts it: “The object isn’t to make art. it’s to be in that wonderful state which makes art inevitable.”
There is the opportunity to share some of our writing, but no expectation or pressure to do so, and all are welcome, no writing experience is necessary.
Feedback from past workshops
"It felt like I pampered my mind with a morning of mindfulness! I came away feeling energised and ready to do more of the things I love."
"An uplifting and invigorating morning. Georgie is a skilled facilitator making us all feel comfortable to write and share ideas."
"Great workshop meeting like-minded people where I got to make space in my day and mind to use some interesting creative writing tips."

I trained as an integrative psychotherapist, which means that I draw from several theoretical perspectives to help a client in a way that is most meaningful for them. I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy and instead, recognise that every client is individual in their needs.
My own theoretical integration combines psychodynamic and humanistic ways of working. The psychodynamic approach explores the way in which our past experiences are, often unconsciously, informing and shaping our present. It enables clients to identify unhelpful behavioural and emotional patterns and provide the opportunity for new choices to be made. Humanistic therapy subscribes to the belief that we are all capable of growth and positive change when given access to the right supportive conditions. This form of therapy is client-led, empathic and non-judgemental.

The first step is to get in touch via email or the contact form on my website. You can provide as much or as little information as you choose, but it may be helpful to let me know a little bit about what you are looking for and what brings you to therapy. We will then arrange a free of charge telephone consultation, lasting usually around twenty minutes. This is a chance for us to connect and for me to understand a little more about what you might be looking for from the process. It is also a chance for you to ask any questions you may have. If it feels like you want to move forwards we can schedule in our first session together.
